How many people are required in order to have an On-Site Training session? |
There is no minimum number of people required; however, it is more cost effective when you have 4 or more people to train. |
| |
Do you have a training center in my area? |
Our team of expert instructors are from different parts of the country. They travel to the client's location-- whether it's here in the United States or abroad. |
| |
How does an On-Site Training session differ from attending a live seminar? |
Seminars are great, but when you have group of people to train, attending a seminar may not be the most cost effective. The costs to cover meals, lodging and travel for several people can add up quickly, not to mention the lost productivity in having employees away from the office. On-Site Training sessions are scheduled at your location on dates and times convenient to your organization. Since it's only your group receiving instruction, training is more personal and the curriculum is customized for your needs. |
| |
Is the material at your training seminars the same as for a On-Site Training session? |
Our On-Site Training sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of your group. Our instructor works directly with the client to develop a class curriculum based on how the client is using the application and the level of proficiency they are seeking to obtain; Or, we can duplicate one of our advertised seminars for your group-- it's up to you! |
| |
We have people with different levels of proficiency. Can the instructor teach more than one level? |
Yes. Our instructors have extensive knowledge of the programs they teach. Training sessions are customized to cover the needs of everyone in your group. |
| |
Can sessions be taught "hands-on" style? |
Our training can be presented in either a "hands-on" environment in your compter lab, or standard lecture style. Both formats are very effective and you can choose either style, or a combination of both. |
| |
How many people can you teach in one training session? |
This depends on the method of training you prefer. One instructor can comfortably train up to 15 people in an "hands-on" environment and up to 100 people in standard lecture style. |
| |
We use two different platforms at our company. Will the instructor be able to cover both? |
Many of the popular applications are very similar for both Windows and Macintosh users. I these cases the instructor will be able to teach "cross-platform" covering the differences applicable to either operating system. |
| |
Can the instructor teach more than one software application at a training session? |
Most of our instructors have extensive knowledge of a variety of software applications. However, an additional instructor can be scheduled to cover other applications for an additional charge. |
| |
How much notice is required to schedule an On-Site Training session? |
Because our instructors are scheduled months out, it is usually best to allow 6 weeks lead time. It's possible to turn around a training session on shorter notice but the additional time allows you to better schedule your staff and will also help you to obtain your preferred dates. |
| |
Are we limited to weekdays and business hours for a training session? |
Not at all-- in addition to traditional class schedules, our instructors have also worked nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate our client's needs. The instructor can teach up to 7 hours for one billing day. |
| |
What are your charges for an On-Site Training session? |
Our clients are charged a flat daily rate for our training sessions in the United States, which includes all costs for the instruction, and any expenses incurred by one instructor-- lodging, travel, etc. Workbooks, if requested, would be the only additional costs incurred by the client. Additional charges are applicable if more than one instructor is required. International sessions are subject to a higher daily rate based on location and requested dates. |
| |
We are considering offering classes and charging admission-- is this allowed? |
Our charges are fixed and contracted with you, the client. However, we have provided training for many organizations in which the client charged and collected an admission fee for the specialized training to their members. This has been used as a method of fund-raising for the client in addition to assisting the client with the cost of the program. Some examples are customized presentations at annual meetings, conventions, specialized tradeshows, etc. Please contact us for details. |
